About the role

The Senior Operations Manager reports to the Executive Director and plays a central role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of ATNi’s operations. This position focuses on overseeing financial administration, maintaining a well-run office environment and while providing light-touch support to HR processes and executive coordination. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, international setting and enjoys balancing operational detail with strategic oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Administrative Management (Core Focus)

  • Support governance-related administration, including logistics and documentation for Board meetings.

  • Maintain and update IT inventory and office assets.

  • Ensure an organized and efficient office environment, including supplies, facilities, and vendor relationships.

  • Oversee office policies and ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal standards.

  • Manage contracts with service providers and administrative suppliers.

  • Coordinate internal meetings, workshops, retreats, and team activities.

Financial Administration (Core Focus)

  • Process incoming invoices, SRXP expense reports, and bank transactions.

  • Prepare payments for approval and issue sales invoices to funders and partners.

  • Maintain liquidity forecasts and monitor deferred income.

  • Support quarterly forecasts and annual budgeting in collaboration with partnership managers.

  • Assist with financial reporting and preparation for annual and interim audits.

HR Administration (Limited Scope)

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes.

  • Maintain HR records and support basic administrative HR tasks in collaboration with external HR advisors.

About you

Skills & Competencies

  • Organizational Excellence – Manages multiple priorities with efficiency and attention to detail.

  • Financial Acumen – Demonstrates accuracy and reliability in financial processes and reporting; experience with Exact is strongly preferred.

  • Proactive Problem-Solving – Anticipates challenges and identifies practical solutions.

  • Communication & Coordination – Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Confidentiality & Integrity – Handles sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Digital Competence – Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Excel) and digital collaboration tools.

  • Cultural Awareness – Works effectively in a diverse, international environment.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in office management and financial administration, preferably in an NGO or international setting.

  • Familiarity with Dutch governmental regulations, HR procedures, and financial systems.

  • Strong coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a structured, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch (B2 or higher).

  • Existing right to work in the Netherlands.


Employment type: 32–40 hrs/week, fixed 1-year contract
Salary range: €4650– €5350 gross/month (based on full-time)
Start date: 1 November 2025
