About the Role
ATNi is seeking a Partnerships Intern to support our partnerships team in identifying and evaluating potential funding and partnership opportunities. This role is ideal for individuals with an interest in global health, food systems, and nonprofit partnership development, particularly withn European funders and partners. The intern will support the partnerships team in developing key opportunities reporting to the Senior Partnerships Manager and collaborates closely with the Executive Director.
About the role
Donor Analysis and Evaluation:
Review and analyze lists of philanthropies to identify organizations whose funding priorities align with ATNi's mission.
Assess historical funding patterns of potential donors, including past recipients and funding amounts, to gauge the likelihood of future support.
Provide recommendations on the prioritization of donor outreach based on alignment and funding history.
Database Management and Research:
Assist in maintaining and updating a comprehensive donor and partner database.
Conduct research to identify new funding sources and partnership opportunities that align with ATNi's objectives.
Support the mapping of potential funding organizations and partners.
Partnership Identification and Outreach:
Research and identify potential partners for collaboration in fundraising efforts.
Support the development of presentations and documents for meetings with prospective partners.
Administrative Support:
Assist in tracking key performance metrics related to funding opportunities.
Collaboration and Strategy Development:
Work with the partnerships team to contribute to the strategic development of fundraising efforts.
Participate in meetings and contribute ideas to help strengthen ATNi's donor outreach and partnership strategies.
Education and Experience
Current or recent university student or recent graduate, preferably with a focus on international relations, public health, nutrition, or a related field.
Strong interest in fundraising, partnerships, and the nonprofit sector.
Knowledge of the European funding landscape is highly desirable.
Excellent research skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of information.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proactive and able to work independently, with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Comfortable with remote work and able to collaborate across time zones.
Knowledge of basic database management or CRM tools is a plus.
Currently living in the Netherlands with a valid work permit.

What we offer
We have a flexible approach, but expect everyone to be present in the office in Utrecht two days a week.

A monthly stipend of Euro 775/ month based on 40 hours a week.
